Jonathan is a Director within the Corporate Finance Infrastructure practice at KPMG. Jonathan has worked for KPMG for over 16 years, formerly within audit and as such is a fully qualified chartered accountant, and has spent the latter 12 of those years specialising in the strategy, development, procurement, financing and delivery of large scale infrastructure schemes. Jonathan has led large scale projects across the Health, Education and Transport sectors. Most recently Jonathan led KPMG’s advice to Hull City Council end to end on its £400m schools programme and led the KPMG team advising Halton Borough Council to a successful financial close for the Mersey Gateway Bridge, a scheme that has recently been awarded European Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2014 by Project Finance International. As the lead for KPMG’s Cities Unit Jonathan is also significantly involved in KPMGs City Deal work and a key member of the teams that successfully advised both Leeds and Glasgow city regions to ground breaking deals in the summer of 2014 unlocking £2.5bn of new investment in infrastructure.  Jonathan is a regular speaker at events and conferences in the UK on the topic of city economies and devolution and recently drafted the autumn statement submission to Treasury on behalf of the Infrastructure Forum.
